When you refuel your car, the fuel settles down inside the fuel tank. Occasionally, the fuel dispensed at the gas station might have particles or impurities inside it which sediment down inside your fuel tank. They may come up into the engine when the fuel pump carries petrol to the engine from the fuel tank. The fuel filter cleans the fuel before the fuel filter can pump it into the engine. Some of the signs of a malfunctioning fuel filter include the following:

We recommend that the fuel filter be changed after every two successive years or 25000 miles whichever comes first.
How important is this service?
As we have explained the important role of the fuel filter in your car, you should not continue driving your car with a faulty fuel filter and should get it replaced immediately. If you keep driving it, you may experience that one day you are not able to start your car.
