Car AC Fan Control Module Replacement

Back

Modern cars have automated air-conditioning systems called climate control systems. These systems sense the temperature inside and outside your car and set it to a level desired by you. In doing so, they continually adjust the cooling unit and the air flow blowers which are in turn controlled by the AC fan control module, which is a computer system designed to vary the speed and throw of air provided by the car air-conditioner’s fan.

Our recommendation:

The module is housed inside the dashboard of your car and cannot be accessed by you. It can be checked using the car’s electronic sensor testing system accessed through a computerized machine attached the OBD port of your car. If a problem is detected, the fan control module shall need replacement which can only be done by a qualified and authorized mechanic who can open up the dashboard, replace the module and close the dashboard again.
